Marble is a natural material which means no 2 pieces are ever the same. Shades, tones and veining will vary between pieces, which mean we cannot guarantee exact colours. We will always provide samples of the specific available varieties in stock, that match your colour requests.

Finish

All our surfaces come with a honed finish, and double sealed with an industry leading wax oil surface treatment. This helps seal the pores in the marble and improve it’s resistance to staining. Since Altrock is 90% Marble, we advise that it should be treated as natural marble both structurally and in daily use. Please be aware that marble is a naturally porous and mildly reactive stone, and cannot be made to perform like synthetic equivalents. Some care and upkeep is required, please see guide below.

Care Guide

Altrock is a resin based terrazzo which means it is much better against staining than traditional cement based terrazzo. However, the beautiful marble contained within, like all marble surfaces, requires a certain amount of care to keep it looking its best for years to come.

Avoid sustained contact with any spillages. Wipe up all food and drink spills as quickly as possible. Acidic substances can 'etch' any marble or marble based surfaces. These include wine, coffee, vinegar and juice. Be sure to be extra vigilant with these! Use coasters to avoid leaving ring marks.

Clean Altrock surfaces with a gentle multisurface cleaner or disinfectant and cloth, or surface wipes. Do not scour. Do not use bleach, or products containing bleach.

It is recommended to reseal terrazzo and marble surfaces including altrock every 6 months to a year. Its a very easy process wtih no special tools or anything required. For details of how to do this yourself please get in contact with the details below.

In the case of any serious chemical or tough staining spills, we are here to help. Altrock can very easily be polished back and resealed, looking good as new in no time. We can even repair chips and cracks should these occur. This can normally be done on site, with no need to remove your Altrock surface. Just get in touch!

Payment Terms

50% deposit required before all works commence, and 50% balance + any agreed additions due on completion of works (Unless otherwise stated). Final payment required within 14 days of completion of works or invoice will be subject to late payment charges. For all works below the value of £1000 ex VAT, 100% of balance of invoice is required before works will commence.

Any issues with condition of delivered pieces must be raised within 24 hours of delivery or liability cannot be taken by us for repair or replacement.
